Since its founding in 1991, the Hook Association has been housed in several different locations, and has been renting office space in North Chatham since 1998. Now, the Hook Association has the opportunity to create a permanent headquarters and enhance the effectiveness of our programs by purchasing the renovated Captain Nathan Harding House.
The Captain Harding House will provide the Hook Association with a highly visible location and ample space to create a center for fisheries policy reform, education, and
research. Equally important, it will serve as a central meeting facility for the fishing
community, allowing us to involve a larger spectrum of the community in the
quest to maintain our historic dayboat fishery.
CCCHFA represents and supports the oldest industry in Chatham. By housing
the organization in a renovated antique sea captain’s home, we link two important
aspects of Chatham’s identity, history and fishing, and create a synergy that will
bring positive benefits to the community for years to come.

The Hook Association Board of Directors has established naming opportunities at the Captain Harding House as a way to provide appropriate recognition to the generous donors who are making our permanent headquarters a reality
